Indoctrinating Our Youth is a wake-up call about biased teaching of the Arab-Israeli conflict and Islam in America’s public schools. The monograph describes a dramatic local case of a national problem, recounting a controversy that erupted in an affluent Massachusetts public school district. The monograph is a case study about the controversy in Newton, Massachusetts regarding the materials used in a 10th grade World History course on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The study traces the roots of the controversy, recounts contentious interaction with the public, and examines problematic materials used in the course. The monograph offers recommendations on what parents, teachers, and other concerned citizens can do to address the problem of substandard and biased materials in schools.
